To battle chestnut weevil nuts are picked daily and treated with a hot water bath Planting nuts require cold stratification for best germination results $15.00 per pound   Heavy producer Premium chestnut seed stock picked from best producing trees Parent tree is a complex hybrid from asian chestnut varieties Trees produce nut annually, as large 1.5″ nuts   Wildlife Chestnut seed stock is picked from trees producing a mix of large, medium, and smaller chestnuts Smaller chestnuts are typically sweeter and more desirable to wildlife like deer and turkey   Culinary Culinary nuts are a mix of heavy producer and wildlife nuts Chestnuts will be mostly large and extra large Nuts are easy to peel and sweet     Our culinary chestnuts sell out fast every year.
