About this item This rib is a finishing guide that will save you valuable time, whether you are producing a one-off piece or are in a production style setup. These ribs will help you to consistently throw the same curves, shapes and height from mug to mug. Our pottery tools are printed by filament with PLA. PLA is a biodegradable polymer. Filament printing leaves tiny gaps between layers. These ribs are available in whole 2 inch increments in height (2”-6”). Thickness on the 4 inch ribs is 5mm, for ribs shorter that 4” the thickness is 3-4mm. The 0.3mm thick horizontal printing layers allow pleasant contact with the clay. The particles align smoothly to the shape of the template. These thin layers or small printing defects can generate very slight lines on the surface of the parts but have no other impact on the functionality, resistance or ergonomics of the products.
