Liquitex Professional Freestyle Traditional Brush, Detail Flat No. 12

I am a hobbyist abstract painter and digital designer (Adobe Illustrator). I didn’t think I could hold much stock in paint brushes … especially these big ones …. so I bought a bag of cheapo brushes at a hobby store (and more on Amazon) thinking a “brush is a brush”. I quickly discovered that this is not the case. I thought this really mattered more with the little fine ones, not the larger brushes like these. I discovered you pretty much get what you pay for in this realm.I am a new hobbyist but am having a ton of fun with acrylics on canvas. I noticed these brushes hold a nice amount of paint, do not shed like the other do, and paint so smoothly. The smoothness and lack of shedding were the two things that set these apart. The handles are long and comfortable and I also like the paddles too. This is a nice set and I am having a lot of fun with them.I’ll admit, “I don’t know what I don’t know” … but I read some of the reviews and based my purchase on them. So far, no shedding and they are holding up and washing up well. Very happy with my purchase!
